Horizon Hobbies is a family owned partnership which commenced trading in 1988. After starting as a mail-order business and, following strong demand from an increasing number of our customers, we opened our shop in 1996. Since establishment, we have actively promoted the modelling of Australian prototypes, particularly in HO scale, and carry a large range of items (over 2000 different pieces) many of which cannot be found in other shops.

Please note we have changed our trading hours as from 1 October 2011. We are now open on Saturdays from 9.00 am till 1.00 pm and by appointment Monday to Friday. For those who can't call in, we offer a mail-order service. We currently have a large number of overseas customers in many countries and most of these give testament to our top service and great range.

Our range includes locomotives, freight, passenger and Ways and Works rolling stock (including both ready to run (RTR) and kit form), books, building kits, CDs, controllers, decals, detail parts, DVDS, paints, power supplies, scenery items, signals, slides, track, videos and pre-owned items.

We regularly obtain pre-owned stock and are always interested in obtaining good quality models of Australian prototype, books, slides, railway memorabilia etc. if you have hard to find items, let us know what you want. Many of our customers do, and are pleasantly surprized when we are able to source rare and out-of-production items for them. We may not have the item you want straight away, but have been able to satisfy over 90% of requests for hard-to get items.
